California English Language
Development Test

The Education Fund works with districts to provide oversight and proctoring of the California English Language Development Test. We administer the test to those students returning to school in the fall as an annual assessment. State and Federal law requires that school districts administer a state test of English language proficiency, to newly enrolled students whose primary language is not English and to students who are English learners. The CELDT has three purposes:

1) Identify students who are limited English proficient

2) Determine the level of English language proficiency of student who are limited English proficient

3) Assess the progress of limited English proficient students acquiring the skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing in English

Educational Services

We manage and operate summer school programs for Districts within our Region in grades K through 12th. From Intervention, Enrichment, Credit Recovery and Independent Study our summer programing is designed around the needs of our partners.

In addition to this, we also offer migrant services, which is added support in English Language Development for migrant students.
